Meet the team: Mendix Business Engineer Michael

In this blog series we are glad to introduce you to Michael, one of our Mendix Business Engineers with a passion for technology and innovation. Michael is fascinated by the way technology is changing the world.

A passion for low-code development

Before Michael started at JAM-IT, he had a background in WordPress website development. Although he enjoyed his work, he knew he wanted to do more in the field of innovation. When he first heard about Mendix, he was immediately intrigued and knew this was the perfect opportunity to follow his passion.

"I ended up at JAM-IT through my interest in low-code development and my research into companies that focus on building applications with this technology."

In his free time Michael is keen on endurance sport and is a passionate runner who loves covering long distances outdoors. He is also interested in photography and is often on the lookout for beautiful places to shoot. Alongside sport and creativity, he likes to work on personal development and can regularly be found at workshops and seminars on a wide range of subjects.

"The sense of togetherness and the 'can-do' mentality within the team are the things that make the work even more enjoyable."

Role in the team

Michael is currently involved in various projects and works closely with senior developers and clients. He focuses on developing responsive web apps and learning the best practices that come with that.

The future

In the coming years Michael hopes to keep improving and broadening his Mendix development skills, so he can keep contributing to building robust and scalable applications. He also wants to develop his teamwork and project management skills further.
