Meet the team: JAM-IT's Business Officer Eefje

In this blog series we introduce our people to you. Today it is the turn of Eefje, our energetic and versatile Business Officer at JAM-IT.

Between classroom and office: a double life with plenty of drive

Eefje van den Boom comes from Roosendaal, where she was born and raised. She is the mother of three sons and someone who thoroughly enjoys life. Friends describe her as sociable, helpful, spontaneous and sporty, qualities she fully recognises in herself.

What makes Eefje unique is her combination of two completely different worlds. Alongside her role at JAM-IT she also teaches at a primary school. "It is a great second job," she says. "The variety between teaching and my work at JAM-IT keeps me sharp and gives me energy."

A spontaneous start at JAM-IT

Through someone she knew, none other than Martijn, Eefje found her way into JAM-IT quite naturally. "We got talking and concluded that he really was short of a pair of hands now and then. That struck me as a fun thing to pick up," she explains. Not long afterwards came a conversation with Armando and they decided to simply give it a go. "And that turned out to be a bullseye!"

Active at work and in her free time

When Eefje is not working or teaching, you will probably find her at the gym. For her, exercise is the way to relax and clear her head. She also likes doing fun, active things with friends, always on the move, always busy.

Within JAM-IT she fills the role of Business Officer, supporting colleagues in various areas. "At the moment I am working on the ISO certification, Social Return and Intune, among other things. I also like to help organise outings and other team activities."

Learning and doing go hand in hand

What does she enjoy so much about working at JAM-IT? "The variety in my work is wonderful. No two days are the same and I get plenty of chances to learn new things. That makes it fun as well as instructive."

Eefje feels completely at home in the team and looks forward to the future with pleasure: "I hope to keep doing this work for a long time and to keep developing myself within JAM-IT." Or, as she puts it herself:
