Meet the team: Mendix Business Engineer Tim

In this blog series we are glad to introduce you to Tim, one of our Mendix Business Engineers with a passion for running. Tim is always full of energy and loves developing new skills, from cooking to programming.

Before Tim started at JAM-IT, he was a game designer and the owner of an escape room in Rotterdam. When he was looking for an enjoyable and interesting traineeship in IT, he kept coming across the term 'low code'. After digging into it further, the choice was quickly made and he decided to apply at JAM-IT.

"What appealed to me about JAM-IT was the chance to get started as a developer straight away and to get good guidance from the company for questions and advice on development matters."

In his free time Tim enjoys running, watching films and series, elaborate cooking, the occasional museum visit and going out for a nice meal with friends.

Role in the team

At the moment Tim is working on an interesting project, in which he works with experienced developers on building various parts of an entirely new application.

"What I enjoy so much about working at JAM-IT is the sense of togetherness and the 'can-do' mentality within the team. The working atmosphere and the contact with colleagues are informal and varied."

The future

For the future Tim hopes to be able to go deeper into Mendix, but also into Java and/or Javascript. "At JAM-IT I feel constantly challenged to improve my skills and keep growing."
